The Turning the Pages of the Past: Scrapbooks of the 60s page was built using Omeka by the 2014 iteration of the Adventures in Digital History class. This website is a collection of UMW scrapbooks from the 1960s. The scrapbooks were scanned and digitized as collections, while the photographs were digitized as items. The collections are not available from the main website, nor from the omeka-admin side. The top navigation bar is available from the theme, but is not present on the main site. These problems will need to be treated by gaining admin access to the website’s code. This was not possible for the 2022 digital preservation team.

Mentions of the collections page were removed from the main website by using comment tags. Comment tags are used to indicate to the program that remarks being made in the code are not meant to be viewed in the final product. Comment tags are made with a beginning (<!–) and end (–>) tag. Hyperlinks were added to the Home Page. Prior to this change, users would need to manually type out links in the search bar based on context clues to find the pages they needed.
